There was a bit of internal complaining around the digital table this morning after EMC announced that the VNXe was going to be a channel only offering as of October.
Long seen as the Black Knight of the Channel business I’m glad to see this move made. Channel Partners are more and more important to EMC and with luck this won’t be the only product removed from the direct sales force price book.
For now though from the end of this year if any of my customers want a VNXe I’ll have to bring along a Velocity Partner or an EMC Authorised Reseller.
