IBM get on the big FLASH bus. Later.

IBMs FLASH announcement explains why Barry W. has been so quiet recently, though it was a given that an IBM SVC powered counter punch was coming.

Great. So who do I fill out the PO to? What's that you're saying? 4.1TB will cost me how much? You might be able to bring it to market in 12 months. Maybe! 

Good going to the IBM Lab folks as ultimately this is important work they're doing for IBM and it rattles all the other SPC members, but is there a reason IBM is only talking about the products you can't buy today but not about the ones you can?

XIV? Not a jot. Though with the fanfare we had when they aquired the company I'd have expected it to appear on stage with Barack Obama accepting the nomination when it launched.
