The Craig Randall Podcast

Right, so since the Mac blew up the PC currently looks like it was built by Frankenstein, I've eSATA bridges coming out of the PC case and attached to the Mac's SATA drives. MacDrive doing the HFS+ to NTFS mapping.

Since I can now access the data here's the Craig Randall podcast. Craig is a platform architect in EMC's Content Management and Archiving group and we spoke after last week's release of Documetum 6.

I Skyped him to talk about what's new in D6. D6 = SOA. Documetum's move towards all things open. The move from information to knowledge. What is Enterprise Content Management really? Enterprise 2.0, Web 2.0 the place of blogs/wikis in the ECM universe and the D6 Web Services challange.

Get it here.

I was suprised at no mention of sharepoint in the interview.... seems to be what a lot of companies and consultants are talking about these days (where the two intersect and where they collide)....

To be honest it only crossed my mind when I read your comment Josh.

Maybe Craig has a follow up for his blog?

Enterprise Content Management is a new term for an old idea. There definitely is a need for synergy, and always has been. Thankfully, things are beginning to break out of silos.

Nice blog. I'm linking to it in my Tuesday post next week.

Great. Thanks for that Lori. :)
